French Toast + Fried Pears

French Toast + Fried Pears


  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 pears, cut into sections
  • raw sugar
  • cinnamon
  • ----------------
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 eggs
  • splash of milk
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 6 to 8 slices of bread
  • ----------------
  • *optional:
  • maple syrup
  • plain yogurt
  • blueberry sauce


  • Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat, and melt the butter. Sprinkle the raw sugar over the pieces of pear, until the are well coated. Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon. Fry the pears, flipping only once, until they are browned slightly on each side. Set aside.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the bread. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon, and soak the bread in the mixture (both sides).
  • Once the pears are removed from the pan, add butter, and fry the bread on each side until golden and the egg is fully cooked.
  • Enjoy with maple syrup, yogurt, and sauce :)
