Mac n’ (French) Cheese

January 11, 2017 | Savoury Recipes | Permalink

Mac n’ cheese is one of those awesome comfort foods that I really crave sometimes, especially during the winter months. I made a big batch this week, and decided to step it up a little with some delicious French cheeses! In addition to cheddar (which is surprisingly hard to find in France) read more →

Galette des Rois

It’s Galette des Rois day in France! Galette des Rois (“King Cake”) is essentially puff pastry stuffed with almond filling, and it’s a tradition in France enjoyed on the last day of the Christmas season. And the pre-made stuff that you can buy just doesn’t have the best flavour (probably because it’s usually made with mystery fats instead of butter).

I tried making it for the first time a few weeks ago while I was home in NL, and I can honestly say that I’ll never buy the packaged version again! read more →

The Move Home Has Begun

Well hello! Long time no blog post, but it’s been a hectic few weeks. So I thought I’d post an update with what I’ve been up to!

Since Hitchen and I will be moving back to Canada in February, I thought it was better to move the dogs home sooner rather than later read more →
