New Product: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel

October 8, 2014 / by Liz

A few weeks ago, I came across this new nail product – Sally Hansen Miracle Gel . The premise is that it goes on just like a polish (no LED light required), but lasts up to 14 days like a gel (though I’ve never had that kind of success with any polish – gel or not!). I’m constantly switching back and forth between regular polish and gel polish, as there are advantages and disadvantages to both… so this new product almost seemed to good to be true!

There is no base coat required – just two coats of colour, and one coat of the special top coat. The colour I chose was ‘Rosey Riviter’, but they have a pretty large selection to choose from.

The polish went on really nicely – almost exacty like a regular nail polish, but maybe very slightly thicker. It dries fairly quickly, and has a lovely shine.

And after wearing it for a week, I have to say that I was really impressed with the results! For me, regular polish lasts two days without chipping, and shellac lasts 8 to 10 days. This ‘miracle gel’ polish lasted a solid 6 (and I was in the process of moving at the time, so I really gave my nails a good going over). So not quite as long as regular gel, but significantly longer than regular polish! And much easier to apply and remove than any gel polish. Safe to say I’ll be getting a few more colours!

Have you used this product and have any thoughts? Let me know!
