Toadstool Nail Art

Main

The idea of mushroom nail art originally came about while chatting with my friend Leah (thanks for the idea, Leah!). I wasn’t exactly sure how I wanted them to look, until I remembered a set of tea lights my Mama had given me that look like this:

Inspiration

Too cute.

I started with three coats of nearly see-through pink base colour (on top of a┬ábase coat). I first painted the mushroom shapes completely in white – a triangle (ish) for the top and a straight-line stroke for the stem. I then painted the red caps over the white caps, letting a little of the white show at the bottom. Add some dots to the mushroom caps, and a green (or brown) nail tip (for the ground), and you’ve got toadstool nail art!
