Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yield: 3 dozen cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¹/3 cup plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips


  • Preheat oven to 350F. Combine butter and sugars with an electric mixer until light at fluffy. Add the egg, and mix for another couple of minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, soda, powder, and salt. Stir into the wet ingredients by hand. Then stir in the yogurt and chocolate chips.
  • Form into 1" balls, and baking for ~15 minutes until golden brown.
