Happy weekend! And Happy MAY! It’s been way too long since I blogged a ‘happy weekend’ post… so here  goes – a few of the things that have made be happy over the past number of weeks :)

| we went skiing in the alps. |

| special desserts for a random tuesday night. double chocolate cake, with strawberry filling and hand painted gold fondant feathers. |

| spent a day in brussels with dad. it was freezing and pouring and windy, but we made the best of it… |

| …by drinking all the beer and eating all the fries and waffles. |

| attempted to go to the louvre, but the lineup was sooooo long… |

| so we drank hot wine in tuilerie gardens instead. |

| making breads. I’ve blogged the flour tortillas and croissants already – brioche is coming soon! |

| the happiest little layla in the park. |

| babysitting the sweetest little boston (Lucy), who is now Layla’s best friend. (hard to get a non-blurry picture, because they wouldn’t stop playing!) |

| hitchen has been making the most delicious strawberry mojitos. |

| finally went to the louvre with friends that were visiting. this was my favourite. #sorrymona |

| heather and her husband mark came to visit! met this lovely lady in kindergarden, and have loved her ever since! |
