Beachy Keen Nails

November 20, 2013 / by Liz

Main - Beachy Keen Nails

Before heading to the Dominican Republic last week, I painted my nails with a beach theme. Fun and summery (even though it’s November)! Here’s how I did it:

I started by painting all of my nails with a nice ocean-coloured blue.

1 - Blue Base

For my thumbs, I painted the tips white and then added some nude colouring and transparent sparkles to create the sand. I used brown polish and a fine artist brush to paint the tree trunk, and green polish with a slightly thicker silicone tip to make the palm leaves.

2 - Thumb

I painted starfish on my ring fingers using a coral colour (that turned out a little brown-ish on top of the blue), and highlighted with gold.

3 - Star

4 - Star Gold

Finally, using a navy blue polish, I added waves to my remaining fingers.

5 - Waves

Perfect for fun in the sun!
